It's out.
"If you own it already you do not need to buy it again as there is no new or different content here."
>X EDITION
This needs to stop.
>>335700274
It's been going on for fucking ever. Even the games that people cite when shitting on DLC have a billion different editions.
>>335700149
In the OST edition there isn't.
Meh, this game was rather forgettable, not sure if I should revisit it. Convince me /v/
>>335700274
But it was important in the olden days when you had to go to stores and find expansion packs and patches were all but impossible thanks to poor or nonexistent internet. Now it's more useful than ever now that games have a billion DLCs.
>>335700416
It's still pretty forgettable. This doesn't change anything.
>>335700274
I very much prefer GOTY and definite editions over buying a game for full price and then buying the gorillions of DLC later on on top of that.

>User reviews: OVERALL: Mixed
RUINED
still looks too much like furry shit and 50 indie game awards
>>335699957
So, will the programmer finally go back to Project Phoenix?
>>335699957
Finally.
Took those hacks long enough
Now I finally have an excuse to replay it and start attempting to beat it with 0 deaths again
>>335701365
As far as I know he was just going to be a contractor for them, and since they've switched engine his expertise would be of no real use to them.
Also that thing is a pile of fail and a waste of his time.

>>335699957
I'm okay with this.
Downloading it now. Pretty hyped OP.
>definitive bullshit
When will this meme end....
>>335699957
And it's still shit.
>literally thinking the ginso tree race was a good idea
>>335702062
Git gud faggot.
>>335702062
>not liking the ginso tree escape
Sounds like you're a fuckingfine individual with different opinions than me
>>335702062
I don't support the design philosophy behind chase and auto-scroll in platformers, but the Ginso tree was pretty fun. They made good use of music to motivate the gameplay, and they used simple tricks to make each screen broadly doable while still providing tension throughout the area.
>people cared about this lame duck metroivania that didn't do anything Super Metroid didn't 2 decades ago
>>335703554
I didn't. But I still played it and enjoyed it. But you're right. But this is the board that fanwanks Shantae. there's no standards here. Instead of looking at what it didn't. Why not also admit to the things it did?
>>335703554It's prettier.
>>335703554
B-but muh art style
>>335703729
what it did:
looked nice
what it didn't: anything else
>>335699957
if there is no difference between this and regular ORI then why is it definitive
>>335704390
That's not a valid thing?I agree with you though, no h8
What's new? What is my reason to buy?
>>335704560
to some it is I guess, it looked really nice no doubt but it could've been so much more
>>335703554
So if any game does anything ever we should never enjoy a new game if it has elements from another heres da (you) bro
>>335704738
It's both modern and western. It couldn't have been much else.
All I can see is that the soundtrack has new shit.
Did they add anything? Because the Steam page doesn't mention shit
>>335704793
it's not because it copied another game dumbass, it's because everything it did was super standard and even regressed in ways
there was no reason to explore, the plot was shit, it repeated the escape idea, there wasn't any fantastic level design or difficulty, it was just boring and pretty
>>335704824
>>335704659
So do you guys lack basic reading comprehension, or are you just super lazy?
How is this definitive? Soundtrack DLC?
Are we at point where remakes will come out a year after the original games release?
>>335705343
Maybe you should read the store page or the post above your's more clearly
>>335705240
That's who videogames are intended for. Go back to your books Einstein. Not all of us can read okay?
what's with all the hate for this game itt?it's a better platformer than any other metroidvania - including super metroid
>>335706497
No pixel graffix or 8-bit soundtrack.
>>335706497
Wow you totally convinced me with all that objectivism
>>335706497
I'm guessing most people who enjoyed it are actually playing it right now instead of funposting on a chinese cartoon imageboard
>>335706609
thanks - i like when people acknowledge that my opinions are facts.
>>335706778
And I like it when people explain the obvious because I have no standards and I play videogames beyond the age of 18
>>335706851
i know, all truth is self-evident; especially my truth.
>comes out on xbone
>praised to high heaven
>comes out on pc
>it's average af
are xboners this starved of good games?
>>335706267You are reading this
>>335707279
No I'm not, I have a voice to speech program like most of /v/ I am unable to read as I never finished school the only thing I can find solace in is video games.
>>335707009
>comes out on xbone
>praised to high heaven
How come I barely saw anyone talk about it anywhere then? If anything I saw far more complaints about the PC version delayed
>20 federal reserve notes
Took them long enough, I loved the original game
>>335707612
cost me five internet dollars
Surprised to see general dislike/ indifference in this thread, I thought the level design of Ori was amazing and was exactly how a metroidvania should have been designed, that combined with perfect pacing , satisfying abilities and stellar art and music made Ori a legit 10/10 for me.
>checked to see why it has mixed reviews
>says positive instead of mixed
>all reviews like it
>"some reviews aren't shown because their in a different language"
So it's just third world trash doing an ebin trol. That makes much more sense.
>>335711058
*they're
I'm losing my touch. Fuck.
