It's not like Fallout 4 is bad is just you get immersed and things like invincible NPC's break that immersion.

I know, but that's how i did my first playthrough in fallout 2, so i'm kinda used to it.
I remember how i killed those two traders in the Den and got decent gear and even some karma out of it and somehow decided to stick with this short tempered approach for the rest of the game.
