Its a single stage mechanic like the Blue Marine was and it's built around helping the player learn more about Gyro controls.

>>
A couple of days after its released and there's been little talk of this garbage.

Just got my rent yesterday and playing sector y felt more like a chore than an enjoyment.

The level itself is easy as fuck but the difficulty lies in those awful controls.

Why anyone defends this atrocity is beyond me.

It is the StarFox game I've always wanted but I never asked for these shitty motion controls.

Fuck you Miyamoto.

It doesn't stop, even the landmaster is almost as bad if it didn't have the charge shots because the normal ones are totally useless.

>>
>3 hours 40 minutes

Meh, so what now.
I could go get the medals and try again for high scores, but I'm just not feeling any replay urge from this game, and any level that has too much all-range mode isn't that fun to me.
>>
>>335685220
It's better than the original which allows me to bypass my collecting autism and not give a shit about it anymore. Same with Zelda 64 titles, the remakes are simply better.

Nice try nostalgia fag. Zero is clearly better in every single aspect.
>>
>>335691263
Those had much more fast paced and engaging stages than Zero, getting back to those was much easier.
>>
>>335691263
64 has less all range mode, more paths to find (and outside of Aquarosa and defeating Wolf quickly enough to go to Fortuna, none of the alternate paths in Zero are meaningful), and it just felt more fun and simple overall.

>>
>>335697021
Outside of the Walker, the controls are serviceable, biggest complaint is barrel roll using right stick. You'll get used to the motion controls.

Its the dual screen thing that's really annoying.
The TV view doesn't give a proper reticle for long distance aiming - its only accurate for enemies right in your face, and when the game forces Target View on a boss (WHY) you absolutely have to use the Gamepad.

You can press the minus button to swap views so you don't have to physically look down at the Gamepad if you don't want to, but its still annoying.
>>
>>335697565

Yeah no, fuck off. The controls are legitimately bad. OP is doing a favor to those who are on the fence on buying it.

No you're right and op has right to complain, I definitely get how gyro controls may not stick for some people. Renting is a good idea.
I'm just tired of seeing threads full of shit posting and topic starters being copy pasta or pretentious contrarian black and white statements rather than something more balanced.
I haven't played the game yet myself and while I got use to splatoons controls I'm not entirely sure if I'd like the controls for flight. Still could be fun given that most complaints aren't enough to deter me and I've had more fun with games /v/ pans/shitposts about rather than praise constantly.

I'd fuck off to vg but shits more of a circle jerk there
>>
>>335698438

In Splatoon you were not required to look down at the gamepad screen during the action and it's quite comfortable to aim with.

This atrocity took it to another level by making you focus on 2 screens. Bravo Miyamoto.

>>335699384
The sad part is all they need to do to make the TV view more usable for aiming is make the smaller outer reticle further away.

I think even SF64 had the outer reticle calibrated for farther off aiming than Zero does. I've seen it outside of the larger inner reticle's view all the time in 64, while in Zero its almost always inside it.

See pic if you don't get what I mean, the smaller reticle shows that shots go more leftward the further they go.
