I remember being so excited when it was coming out, and completely let down once I got it. And for what reason? Because all of the voices were different, though to be fair Spyro's voice is almost unbearable.
I look back on it and I wish I never sold it. I never actually finished it because I hated the new voices so much, but the gameplay and everything was really solid.

For some reason, when I was younger, it was just more fun restarting the game once I got to the final fights. Then again, my discs for 2 and 3 got scratched and now just freeze the game when you go to certain levels.

The cars feel significantly slower and heavier than CTR and weapons don't have as much 'impact'. Some of the tracks are neat and generally look really good but there are much less of them.
It wasn't a bad game but it felt inferior to CTR in many ways for me.
