A lot of my stats were in faith, a atat that was giving me nothing for that fight, no scaling damage or spells.
Tbh I think it was the best fight ive ever had in a souls game. I'd suggest everyone fighting him that level with +6 or so weapons.
I ended up beating the game with a +6 weapons because bosses were dying too fast (killed both dancer and pontiff my first try) and i honestly didn't feel upgrades past that were needed.

It is pretty piss easy to avoid. I think the big issue with the Souls series and grab attacks is that they almost always seem to have the worst hitboxes of every attack in the game.
To be fair I've had an autistic hatred of grab attacks since they got in the game with DaS. I want to play the game, not put my controller down and watch some stupid 'lol u died' for five minutes. That shit belongs in naruto and anime fighting games not character action games.
I think the real issue is that grab attacks are mostly one trick ponies. At best they get you once or twice and then never again unless its one of the aforementioned laughably oversized hitbox ones. I'd much rather just have a hard hitting regular attack that's over and done with.

Dragonslayer Armor is one of the funnest bosses to solo.
He's one of the most exciting fights. For a split second I thought I had booted up a fighting game with all his combos and fucking near frame traps.
