Explain this shit

The wii is practically a overclocked GCN

> not running N64 games through Wii emulator

Baka
>>
>>335635880
The N64's hardware was a mishmash of strange and custom parts, while the Wii used more common components.

Gee, I wonder why it's easier to emulate the Wii.
>>
>>335635997
this desu

The Wiiu emulator used the GC emulator as a base,
>>
>>335636260
Sounds to me like the people who make emulators should stop being lazy cunts
>>
>>335636340
The documentation is also a factor. The N64's specific hardware architecture isn't publicly available, forcing the emulator makers to reverse-engineer it. While the Wii documentation is also not publicly available, Nintendo reused much of the GameCube's architecture in its creation (a tradition that would continue with the Wii U), so those who managed to figure out what makes the Cube tick also easily cracked the code for the Wii and Wii U.
>>
Why is /v/ always so clueless on how emulation works?
>>
So what? you just buy a Wii controller and you can use it on your PC?
>>
>>335636053
WHO'S BEEN DRAWING DICKS?
>>
Because even the N64 couldn't run N64 games very well.
>>
>>335636985
Because most on /v/ are uninformed retards who only parrot what other people say.

When I did it, I needed a bluetooth adapter, but yeah it worked.

enjoy your missing textures, graphic glitches and a silky smooth 12fps on most games worth playing.

on a bright side, you can play banjo kazooie fine.

if you're the average consolefag and have a piece of shit computer then no, but for people who don't then yeah that's basically how it works.

>Donkey Kong 64 had to literally sell hardware along the game to run properly

If the N64 didnt sold so well in Burgerland, Nintendo would have dissapeared at the gen 6

Because no documentation for N64.
Shady GPU.
Not enough hackers back then.

Meanwhile with the Wii:
Everything is documented so its easy to know how the console works, this makes easier make emulators for it.
Well known hardware.
Everyone and their mother hacked it, and also shared everything so it got even more documentation.

>the n64 emulator that the xbox 360 banjo games are wrapped in is superior to any fanmade n64 emulator
>it's so good, you can run those games in the experimental xbox 360 emulator and they run better than they run on an n64

You can't make this shit up.
>>
>>335643469
XBOX 360 Banjoo games were rewritten for the console, not emulated.

>Shady GPU.

What was that thing where like Conker took like a decade to be emulated because Rare was using some random N64 chip for graphics that like one: shouldn't have been used for graphics and two: the emulation community didn't even fully understand the chips normal usage? That console was like some spaghetti junction of roads to get processes from the code in the cartridge to the virtual worlds on the TV.
