The way to make a successful kickstarter that actually works is to finish your product first and then ask for free money before releasing it. It's literally the best strategy where everyone wins. People who try to use it the "right" way (give me money first then i make the thing) always leads to nothing but grief and tears and delays and twitter meltdowns and a shit product that nobody likes released 3 years late.
