YT changed their business model, instead of just measuring clicks/views, they measure how long people watch a video. So someone who watches a 20 minute video to 17:50 generates more income than someone who watches the first 10 seconds of a 20 second video.
Thus there's a real financial incentive to do long letsplays and to make "characters" etc so kids will watch it all the way through. Especially if you can put up ads and midroll ads as well.

Every time i come on here and see chris chan i am reminded of the path he is going down and fear for my own brother's thin thread that i call sanity.
