I'm hoping she's the female playable character that has been rumoured instead of a female Link.

Honestly, the perfect map for Zelda Wii U would be to take WW and then just put a huge chunk of land in the middle, that way the bigger islands are still interesting and fun to find, but there's more than just a couple of mini game/treasure islands between.
Windfall would be even cooler if it was a boat ride away from a huge continent.

I forgot one thing, that might change your opinion. The SJWs will certainly complain that Zelda is too dainty to go in dungeons and fight and jump. So in order to appease them, Link will need to have a gender option. NOT ZELDA. Link. This way, girl Link can be the example of a strong womyn they always wanted. making sure they have nothing to complain about. Plus the byproduct of subtle yuri implications.

I would definitely agree with you, if there wasn't a potential gain here. But the way I see it, it doesn't really matter if Link is a boy or a girl in the series. giving the option is just another cool additional feature.
