In the current year, most games target audience is children and casuals, certainly the ones that have high quality standards.
/v/ being mostly non children but still wanting to play games, find that dark souls is one of the first games in years to treat its players as adults and uncompromisingly sticks to a harsh, bleak world design and mechanics that punish a non-thoughtful approach (not reading/studying/strategizing, button mashing, etc).
And before you shitters come out of the woodworks about das being easy with this or that build or tactic, im talking about going into the game blind for the first time without using internet guides.
