There was a thread about a few hours ago about the OP discovering a crab inside the giant rolling corpse balls in the Catacombs.
If you kill the hat wearing hollows who run from you instead of attacking, the corpse balls will break open upon the next impact on the wall. In one of them is an undead bone shard, and in another is the crab.
Last thread the OP got it to follow him for an obscenely long time, first taking it to the Smoldering Lake, where we discovered a non hostile giant crab for no reason. Nothing else happened.
He then tried to lead it back and it got stuck on a small set of steps somewhere in the catacombs I believe.
Long story slightly less long, we named him Rudy, the OP's character looked like Jesus, and we made some art like this. >>335110072
Now the guy we're following now has Force, and can most likely push Rudy over the step he got stuck on. So now, we watch, and we wait.

The reason why this whole crab happening is a thing is because in Dark Souls 2, leading a pig from the starting bonfire in Tseldora Cave all the way down to the church where all the spiders drop from the ceiling made the pig eat some mushrooms in the middle of the room, which spawned the pickaxe.
This crab is such an anomaly that there's a decent chance there's some super secret thing going on with it as well.

I'm planning on taking him to under the crumbled floor (you can see it near the passive mama crab). Maybe the giant arrows were suppose to break the floor and Rudy is suppose to be in there.Honestly though, I'm pretty sure Rudy is just a crab that's trying to kill you, but I want to believe.
