These.
It's piss easy to replace the battery, you just have to buy the proper security bit off eBay for like $3 to open the cart, then follow some instructions online. But your save file is gone forever, hate to say.

I just replaced the batteries.. And he light means the battery is new.. Once the light goes out its dead right?
I imagine you're not talking about the 4AA batteries..

The battery inside the game itself that stores the save file is dead and needs to be replaced before you can save your game again

You could try heating up a pen then pushing it into the screw to mold it. Once it cools down you have a free bit.

Depending on how tight the screw is, a pen mold is likely to just break as soon as you try to open it. You're better off with a cheap chinese bit.

Finally someone posted it. Watch this video, OP.
Op here.. So Im replacing a battery in the game cartrage not the actual Gameboy?
>>335087945
The battery is on the cartridge, yes. Did you watch that video?
>>335087996
Yes..I saw another video that said to get a battery from Nintendo.. Is that a thing?
>>335088201
They use generic watch batteries. Never heard of that.
I've only replaced SNES, so not sure which one. Technically what you are doing is unsupported and warranty breaking so I don't know why Nintendo would even sell batteries for it.
Makes sense.. I don't know if I wanna fuck with it it's one of my favorites

what warranty could possibly exist for a gameboy game
>>335088609
>warranty breaking
these games are decades past the waranty expiration, bro

Not if you haven't opened until recently

He's implying that Nintendo wouldn't sell batteries due to the act of replacing the batteries voids warranties.
