Even though DDC has fine gameplay and one of the best gimmicks, encouraging massive screen movement, and some really good spells too, it just has terrible characters and mediocre music. The only REALLY memorable songs are stage 5 and stage 6 boss, and those songs are good in almost any touhou game.
I like raiko's song, but everything else about the extra is trash. Maybe the nonspells are okay.
It's just so... mediocre... It feels like the opposite mediocre of MoF, which had awesome characters and music but fucking garbage gameplay.

I've never gotten to an ex boss before just now, and finally just got to mokou on IN's extra. It's not that hard, you just need to stream everything properly and know when to bomb on the midboss. I just wish I had seen the second half of the stage before then, if so I would have had 2 more lives for mokou and might have at least beaten more than 2 spells ;_;
I havent even 1cced anything on normal so I should focus on that before extra, but extras are so much more fun.
You do know how to stream, right? it makes all 3 of those extras WAY easier. Any aimed bullets, just move slowly to the side, and then the bullets slide right past you.
