I bet it's just another poor recycling of the ideas they already used during the PS2 trilogy. Which, by the way, still are the best games of the whole series.

Must play if you like the series and a good starting point. You will miss the significance of all the holocards and jokes will go over your head. Be warned, some people say the original is unplayable after playing a later game. I don't agree at all. The only problem you'll have with the first game is the final level.

Nah, the first game sucks even after playing GC. Strafing is so important to the gunplay feeling fun. R&C felt like a platformer with weapons thrown in. GC and every game afterwards felt like a third-person shooter with platforming.

Never played an R&C game before this one, but it's a lot of fun. Brings back the feeling of older games where they weren't about a hyper-realistic cinematic experience, and where the top priority is fun gameplay. It does it well. Not perfect, but probably the most fun game I've played in a while

I only had an n64 during the ps2's lifecycle, and then I went away to college and was too broke and busy to keep up with games during all of the ps3's cycle. Now I have both time and disposable income. Yeah, gee aren't I just the worst?

It's a little on the short side, but it was $40, so it's not a big deal. It's a very solid game and beautiful at that.
