Paper Mario has quick inputs, from what I've seen in this game, literally every attack has a relatively long input.
Long inputs can work for big attacks, but when your standard attacks require that much effort, the game becomes a chore. At least to me.

This is hipsterfag's normal attack. The input takes six seconds, and the whole attack takes nine.
People joke all the time about JRPGs having ridiculous attack animations that take forever, but I think this is the first time where I've seen a weak, normal attack take almost ten seconds to go through its entire animation.
