Yes, it was a fad that worked for a couple of years but casuals quickly latched onto their next thing which is iPhones.
I mean even Sony realized this by dropping their not-wiimote control scheme.
Microsoft tried to bring back and force the Kinect but it was quickly dropped after they saw how bad it was hurting the console.
Meanwhile Nintendo is still trying to stay relevant with shitty gimmicks that no one gives a fuck today.
