I was never able to play more than 3-4 hours of an AA game because it's a japanese equivalent of walking simulators where all you have to do is press one button over and over again. At least DR has some gameplay and not a VN that doesn't even pay off.

It'd be harder if the game didn't go out of it's way to make its connections apparent. I think the game should have concealed it a bit better, or revealed the twist in earlier chapters and not in the relevant chapter. Likethey could have showcased hamster pressing buttons somewhere in chapter 1 and not in the same chapter where there's a convenient button to press.That would make it pretty obtuse sometimes though.
