i got a funny story for ya. being my first souls game, it was super fucking hard to figure out jumping.

How do you get that armor and how much vigor do you need to wear it with a shield and sword?
I had to check out how the sword to kill Yhorm works
I grabbed the sword on my second try but didn't realize you had to charge the sword for 5 seconds for it to work. L2 immediately to R1/R2 used FP so thats why I was confused it did nothing to the boss

Not gonna defend summoning but I gotta say I did it multiple times. I just want to PvP and ever since I got that one area in Irithyll, I haven't progressed in the game at all.

I've beaten the game four times now, 3 tumes on one charecter and again on a second, firat time I beat the game it was pre-patch and a lot easier, but I generally don't summon for bosses unless I feel like I'm not getting any progression in the fights, and that ususally doesn't happen on new game.

Summons would make the AI harder to read and the victory would feel hollow.
I don't see how you'd need a guide to complete the game since there is always something that hints to the next step. As for discovering the area with the Nameless King I don't see how it's hard to remember a specific part of the dungeon where people are sitting in a specific pose next to a dragon man making the same pose.
I went through like half the game trying to use a claymore, thinking the big cool weapon would do things like break poise. Then I discovered enemies don't give a fuck about poise and either way you can do twice as much damage in the same amount of time with less risk using a straight sword or a curved sword. Made me sad.

Greatswords are such a disappointment. I think I'm just going to get a straight sword for Nameless King, I'm surprised I was even able to beat the princes with a greatsword.
