I played a bootleg Sonic game as a kid, I don't remember much but it was one of those "take popular character and put them in another game" games. I think you also rescued Mario in it.

I'm the only one I know to have owned this game as physical copy. The weird feeling of it all really burned on my young self's mind. Unfortunately the cartridge broke up, resulting all corrupted graphics even if you got it running, and later on my family swapped our whole NES collection to SEGA Master System 2.
