Was he stoic in FFVII? No? Then why the fuck did he turn stoic now? I get that people change when they find out they got space cancer or whatever, but they still change within the boundaries of who they already are.
He managed to recover from Aeris dying in his arms and finding out that a huge and significant chunk of his memories was wrong, and also having to deal with the apocalypse. He was turned into a brooding lone wolf because of mass appeal, not because it was an appropriate evolution of the character.

By far the most offending and annoying and fucking stupid thing about this movie ANNDDDDDDDDD Crisis Core. Is that the English dub doesn't entirely make sense. This is the first movie and game where I need to play the Jap with English dub because the context in which the characters speak is wierd. Tifa had that scene with cloud after they are recovered. Yet their argument just sounded odd. Like the English dub is missing 'something' and Crisis Core. Especially the final scene in crisis core. 'Keep talking to me, don't let it take you' what???! Why are you saying this zack? He fully intends on going with with his bullshit? Clearly it's not the character that's fucking up but the god damn writers.
