The game wasn't shit, you just shouldn't play it with the expectations that it will play like Origins. If you play it like a 3rd person action RPG with a controller it's actually very fun.

If you play it like an over top strategy game where you want to micromanage every split second then just play another strategy game. This was how I started playing the game for days then I switched to a controller and the game became much much better.
