Pre-Alpha Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-mpm_47k6Q
Alpha begins at the end of next week, if you are interested in this; you can still get it on their page, else you can wait for it till beta or final release; and then buy it if you feel like it or pirate it if that's your MO.
Reasons to get it:
>qt3.14 female pilots
>PC & XB1, PC primary dev platform; XB1 gets released after PC launch
>Singleplayer Rogue-like gameplay with persistent progression
>Above means that you keep credits and blueprints from your run, but any weapons and upgrades you've gained until death are lost along with any resources you've mined
>Made in UE4, which scales insanely well and the game has a fuckton of eye candy
>Non-linear storytelling that perfectly fits the nature of a rogue-like
>In-depth upgrade and damage system: can be seen here: http://i.imgur.com/vu9Cku5.gifv (ship damage)
>They then took above to an even higher level by adding full object destructibility to enemy ships, seen here: https://i.imgur.com/VQT5mq7.gifv
>1st and 3rd person action focus (no sim), which can be seen with the following dev logs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Hv_8zhoTUw && https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1Ur0cXvIls && https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9Ku2_1qOXc && https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NPHYk7FUmuc && https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voCh7VnVpSc
>VR-Support for oculus Rift and HTC Vive, seen here: http://i.imgur.com/j2HjscU.gifv
Kickstarter stretch goals allowed the game to unlock a stealth ship with cloaking seen here: http://i.imgur.com/z5AJByg.gifv and a heavier resource bound ship seen in many of the gameplay videos above.
The game, being a rogue like has an upgrade system for weapons, ship systems, the ship itself, and colors, seen here: http://i.imgur.com/FMbO2HS.gifv
Finally, the game has procedural deformation of some geometric elements, such as asteroids, ice fields, seen here: http://i.imgur.com/2PaSvLM.gifv
Its only single player, but it's not vague lies being sold.
