Mafia 1 was a unique game that showed off some technology at first with the AI police responding to the speeding , the use of objects for a multitude of things and overall the game being original compared to many titles of its era.
Mafia 2 was the mainstream title that was most likely made to get the brand name known but it again has some unique things here and there
the mafia series wasn't entirely original especially since the sequel was no different from any other third person game
