I do like it though, play it for a few months every season to grind new characters and sets and enjoy the activity while it's fresh, then put it down till next season. It's responsive as fuck compared to other arpgs, I've played grim dawn, poe, torchlight, and other various arpgs trying to have fun and d3 just got it right.
Fun usually lasts till about paragon 500-600 for me then I get bored. I don't get why people play non seasonal though.

I really like D3, I have since the beginning. However, I haven't played it in two seasons, adn i see no reason to do so until there's a new xpac or more significant changes, PoE has just eaten the genre alive. Besides D2 is getting remastered with new content, it's only a matter of time until the king has his crown returned. D3 has always functioned as a fun, casual ARPG to play as a break from PoE, at least for me. But PoE is so encompassing at this point that there's no reason to paly D3. I'm seriously fucking excited for D2 Remastered though.

Diablo 1 has great atmosphere and a decent plot, not to retarded or comic booky, gameplay is pretty bad, game is overall pretty basic and lacking.
Diablo 2 has awful repetitive and boring gameplay, everything looks the same, the classes are all dull and boring itemization is garbage items are bland stat increases 9 times out of 10, classes are unbalanced and some builds are completly usless, the atmosphere from the first game is gone and the game looks and feels like a saturday morning cartoon, the plot is deviant art levels of awful and it rapes the lore hard and the game offer's absolutely no challenge
Diablo 3 (RoS) has great gameplay with plenty of replayability and loads of extra modes, plot and atmosphere is better than 2 but not as good as 1, music is amazing and fits really well, classes are very well done and play differently from each other, spells are all useful and satisfying, the game has great items with loads of depth and customization and no one build or class completely dominating.
The only people who think D2 is good are the casuals with nostalgia goggles on, D2 was casual garbage back in the day and it still is now.

The teal gameplay is strategizing builds and figuring out/executing best wait to obtain those builds. Then you click. Another part is positioning during fights and knowing how to approach certain monsters. Knowing when to just dive right in or when to play a bit more coy. Suffice to say I was able to beat torment 10 within 3 days of the newest season, there isn't much reason to play after that. Unless you give a shit about leaderboards.

I uninstalled the game and I really can't be bothered to reinstall just to prove that. Regardless of what you think it's a shitty game anon, you can gear cap in 3 days (I did with the new season) I know you can roll perfect stats on ancient items but why? I don't care enough to min-max so hard that I can clear an additional grift level. It's just boring. Now you could say the same about grinding Meph all day for Diablo 2 but at least there was a end goal in sight. Defeating the ubers could take many months to grind out the gear obviously that's not an example of difficulty but neither is a endless dungeon. Both games have their retarded shit but at least you have a goal in D2.
