Those who played it,what are your opinions?

Personally, for a fps on a console,it was overall pretty damn good experience. I found lack of multiplayer and short single player to be the main flaws. The gun models and the feeling of destruction they gave while shooting felt epic. Reloading animations were pretty neat (love how it speeds up animation when game detects you under heavy fire). Soundtrack was also lovely.

underrated game

Cool game, but as you say not a whole lot to it. I liked the destruction stuff a lot, and the guns felt extremely meaty.

Michael Bay: The Game

It's a fun game with a great soundtrack - I'd love to see an HD remaster.
>>
I enjoyed the hell out of it, wish there were more games where gunplay felt like it did in black
>>
A fantastic game that nobody bought because it had the most generic name and cover art of all time.

Hell, it doesn't even mention that fucking criterion made it.

Yeah I think meaty-ness was the key. There was just something incredibly satisfying to put full auto and fire entire magazine and watch all those particles flying off the walls from bullet impacts and have all the smoke build up. All weapons felt like you were firing .50 rounds out of them.

Whatever. Lack of checkpoints really annoyed me.

Still one of my favorite fps.

Kellar, J., Sergeant First Class, Serial number 7178412.

Colombia, Guatemala, Colombia, Croatia.

Very impressive.

the guns felt awesome, the destruction too, i remember a level in the cementery, and when you covered in the tombs the actually broke, also shooting the AK in full auto, its amazing considering this can run in a ps2

loved it, especially that Gulag level

>>334938180
holy shit, can you be any more casual?
>>
I really loved how all the guns were madde to sound like guns from specific movies. For example, the MP5 sounds like it was taken right out of Die Hard.

YOU'VE BEEN TOLD TO HOLD YOUR POSITION BRAVO

>Emphasising the game's action film heritage, sound effects for the weapons in the game were based on various sounds from movies. For example, Bruce Willis' Heckler & Koch MP5 in Die Hard, Jack Bauer's pistol in 24 and Arnold Schwarzenegger's Uzi in True Lies.[4]

huh

>Black's sound was nominated for Best Audio at 2006 BAFTA Video Games Awards, and won Best Art & Sound jointly with Burnout Revenge at the 2006 Develop Industry Excellence Awards.
they deserved it

It's really annoying when you have to replay 20+ min. level, especially when the game isn't anything special. It's flashy, but everything else is mediocre and uninteresting.
>>
Disappointed you only used P90 on a single level and it was during last 10 minutes of it. They could have implemented it on one more level like all the other weapons. I loved how RPG dudes always blew up and flew into air. Also protagonist sounded like he spoke on megaphone not headset microphone. It did give to whole vibe off shootout though.

any good blacked porn lately?

Great game. NPC were a little spongy to the end.

The bridge level and the forest level are the best.
>>
It was awesome in it's time. I remember even my PC-friend came over one day and said "That's not even half bad for a console game" Specially for the good old PS2.

Are you in the 90's right now?
Seriously kill yourself. Killzone 2 was literally the best FPS to ever grace the industry.

PS2 had a bunch of good shooters.
too bad it also had a bunch of shitty brown ones.
that being said, i recently tried playing resistance 1 and 2 wich were sitting on my shelf for a bunch of years.
holy shit those are some bland brown first person shooter campaigns.
man FPS games are so boring.

GREAT
>>
Probably my favorite FPS of the PS2 era.

The graphics and gunplay were great, even if the enemies were a bit bullet spongey. The destruction was unmatched. Sound design was top notch and would literally rattle your house apart if you had a decent subwoofer.

Loved the way I felt like I was playing an action movie the entire time. The Gulag level was straight out of The Rock which was my favorite movie at the time.

Really wish they would have brought back the franchise. It was one of my favorites.
