VC1 still stands the best in terms of story, but the gameplay of the 2nd release is better IMHO. VC2 is awful, just drop the game. I played through it and the maps just get worse and worse, especially when the enemies start dumping 4+ Valkyria units on you and the only way to fight them is to fucking headshot them with the tank. Horribly designed maps, plus you can't deploy that many units.

Also, as for the units, as long as there aren't any V2's around, I just deploy the Utility APC and ferry troops around with it (I prefer the Utility's massive HP and weight max load over the mobility and armor of other APC's).

V2 shots are reduced heavily by fencers but they still fuck them up pretty badly, you might be able to do that if there's only one V2 firing at you but any more than that and you are gonna be in trouble
