I'm inclined to agree with him. Granted it did massively casualize gaming, but the range of games that weren't only good but also fell in price quite quickly made it a really accessible console.
Coupled with the emergence of online gaming on consoles the 360 became an absolute beast for Western gamers.

Hardware wise yeah, it was pretty good during 2005-2007.
It's architecture was also more accessible for devs, especially due to shared memory pool.
Fuck, I still haven't download stuff like guardian heroes.
The definitive console of gen 7, hands down.
By no means perfect, and towards the end of its life it got plagued with ads and kinect. Still, it dwarfed the competition in online stability, multiplat performance, and a Mirada of other areas such as controller and backwards compatibility.
While nowhere near my favorite console,11 years is a respectable time to be in production. Hats off to you 360, your successor, nor either of its competitors, will ever fill your shoes.
