Where it goes wrong is when developers stop listening to the angry villagers, when they forget that the angry villagers are still the people buying their games.
I think a lot of developers shut themselves out to the negativity of gaming fans, they say, it's all just nerds on the internet and they'll shit on everything and forget that there's legitimate complaints there, how many times when these big shithouse games flop have we seen the developers seem ambivalent at best, hostile at worst to the entire gaming community?
