I'll probably play it for a month or so. The community returning and levelling is fun regardless of how shitty the end-game content is. I'm not impressed the dev team seems to have learned nothing from WoD though, so I won't be staying any longer than that.

You also only get about 3 missions per day, and Order Hall resources can only be earned by doing content out in the world. One mission will always take 24 hrs and just unlocks the next quest in your class campaign (replacing the "wait one week and randomly get another quest for your garrison campaign) and the others will you give you small rewards and are about as long.
They're mainly being minimized to be one of the dumping grounds for the resources you get out in World Quests, and unlike Garrisons you're not in an instance by yourself jerking off.

Honestly, I want to get my hopes up, and Reaper of Soul devs were able to fix Diablo 3, so I believe they have the ability to fix WoW, but I'm still waiting till pre-patch before I make any decisions.
I wasn't happy with WoD all throughout it's alpha and beta, with Garrisons being locked to one zone, shrunken, made less customization, changed from optional to the main part of the game, and above all, no class or races being added yet costing 10 dollars more.
I made a promise I wouldn't even bother if the new expac didn't have a class or race, so they at least have my interest, but after the clusterfuck and ABSOLUTE NOTHING that was WoD I really need to wait and see.

Faralohn and Tanaan were announced as part of the launch world. Faralohn was then moved to "post release content", then removed from the map and a month before release confirmed scrapped, and Tanaan was moved from end-game zone to "post release content"

What's the grind like in Vindictus? Because DFO just released the next stage of endgame "content" after 8 months of nothing but adding shitty side areas, and it's horrible. 3 months of dailies for a good accessory set. I just can't deal with that. Not even Korea has anything after this, except the "raid", which is just a timed version of the 3-month grind dungeons with more health and better rewards. And that's the only endgame content they've gotten in the last 2 years. I just can't do 3 months of this shit, you know? I can't accept that as content when there's nothing on the horizon to look forward to.

Im gonna do the same thing that I have done since Cata, and that is sub for a month or two whenever a new expansion/patch comes out, enjoy the game then go and play something else. There really hasnt been any real reason for me to keep subbing and playing since you get to do all the content immediately when you hit max level, especially in WoD. I dont think most people realise that the problem with WoD wasnt the garrison itself, but that it was basically the only thing you could do outside of raiding and there were a fuck ton of rewards for doing it. The way it seems to work in Legion so far seems far better, so it MIGHT be good.
I really hope that blizz would either remove LFR or at least make it so that there was a reward for performing well. I fucking hate how at least half the people doing it either straight up afks during all the fights or dont bother with doing tactics or damage, making the runs take 30-60 minutes longer than they should. Honestly, flex mode (or normal as it is called now) is what LFR should have been to begin with.

Not gonna lie. I just resubbed to WoW in order to experience the leveling in Wod and I gotta say, I enjoy my Garrison.
I like the idea of having my own farmable resources, fishing spot and such. The missions don't both me too much.
I wish they would bring back the farm from MoP though, I miss being able to farm my own cooking reagents.

You're not. You're one of the Champions, on par with other iconic members of the class. You still have an Order Hall leader. DK's have Mograine for example, Paladins have Diamond King Muradin, Druids have Malfurion etc.

Yet every healer would have the same healing weapon, every tank would have the same tanking weapon, every DPS would have the same weapon through raiding.

Are you retarded? Rather than sitting in an instance by yourself, you're running around doing world content for your dailies and endgame factions, like every expansion till WoD. To get resources and grind up professions, you're out in the world, gathering and going to new zones to learn new recipes.
These are literally the opposite of garrisons. The only thing garrison-esque are the facebook missions, which they're using to timegate class campaign quests.

New content is scarce and shit, you run out of things to do too quickly because quests have to be divided amoung 11 classes, all you're left with afterwards is the oh-so-engaging facebook waiting game
The new raid fights are really unimpressive, especially compared to mop/wod. I mean the heart of corruption boss is literally yogg-saron minus the sanity mechanic (hopefully they change them to make them more interesting, which isn't unheard of since its still in alpha/beta)

I wouldn't give a damn if these "followers" were actually customizable NPCs that you can give items to and improve or chose interesting abilities for them and have them escort you places. That would be fun, but they're just portraits you drag into UI interfaces. Why can't i talk to them instead of interacting with an interface?

I've been playing this damn game since beta/vanilla, so I'll probably eventually try Legion. Usually, I always get the expac on launch.
Not this fucking time. Not after WoD.
I unsubbed a week before WoD's first "content" patch dropped, and realized I made a great fucking decision. Haven't touched the game since.
My Current plan is this:
1A: Re-sub for pre-patch before expac. Do a little catch-up on gear/story/quests that I might have missed out on.
1B: Commit to only subbing for pre-patch if the new transmog system is implemented before Legion comes out. My banks are too fucking full. I assume it'll be a feature that'll have to be for everyone, so it should be in pre-patch....if not....we move onto second part of plan....
2A: Do not buy Legion at Launch.Wait to hear reviews, complaints, see what content got finished and put in, and what's in the pipeline.
2B: If signs are good, buy expac about 2 weeks or 2 months after launch.
2C: If signs are bad, wait for news about Legion's first content patch before considering purchase. When it releases, follow up on 2A-2B.
2D; If signs continue to look bad, move on to step 3.
3A: Wait for Legion to drop down to $5-$10, and wait for Blizzard to send you free WoW time for being logged off for more than a year.
Then, if it's still bad....fuck it. I'm done.

You're in a zone all by yourself. You have a table of facebook waiting games, and a set of daily chores to get your maximum gold yield. You have an herb garden and mine, that you can use regardless of your professions, so there's no point in going out to gather.
Originally touted as highly customization, up to the zone you put them in, they are limited to one zone, very limited "customization", can't customize your followers or rename them like promised, they were shrunk massively, things like sending followers to old dungeons and raids to get transmog gear was scrapped.
And originally garrisons were supposed to be an optional end game thing, essentially if you wanted player housing. Then they became the core of the expansion.

I'm a similar boat. Wasn't even going to bother with Legion if it didn't add a new class or race, after WoD added neither and nothing else to the game. Don't really care about Demon Hunters but it's at least meaningful content that expacs usually get.
I bought the expac because I have no self control, but if they don't pull a miracle out of their ass I'm done. Cata sucked, but it still had stuff. I liked MoP. WoD was such a fucking disaster, after a year of Siege of Ogrimmar, for it to literally be just that, then 14 months till next expac is a fucking joke.
I was tempted to refund when the release date was finally announced, but again, I'm a spineless faggot.
Three years almost, and only three raid tiers. They have Legion, if they fuck it up again, I'm out until they release an expac with Runemasters in it, which I don't think will ever happen since we have DK's and Monks.

From the Naval Yards (Garrisons 2.0) you can get a treasure chest that can contain almost anything.
Got my best weapon from Heroic HFC (gearing up for Mythic) and got a Baleful Warforged from a chest that has better stats and the same damage and ilevel.
After 3 weeks of raiding, I got something better from a 6 hour garrison mission.

Not really. In order to get gear higher than LFR quality, you have to actually do a run of that level.
Ie. you beat Archimonde on Normal, now you can get normal gear from the Footlockers. Beat Heroic, now you can get Heroic. Mythic, mythic.

Sort of, but not for gear. There's a bonus even every few weeks, outside of that people run it for Misprinted Draenor coins, which you can turn in to get Heirloom tokens.

Yes you can get better gear from Tanaan Jungle and Naval Yards. But the Naval Yard takes time to spit out epics and Tanaan Jungle is fucking brutal on a fresh 100.
With so many overgeared people breezing through Heroics it's a simple way to get some starter gear.

If you're still subbed, go for it. Right now you can still get a ton of gold through your garrison. Once the pre-patch hits all gold yields are being removed and replaced with garrison resources, so if you plan on playing Legion it might be better to just start now so you can get some gold while you do it.
You can get to 100 in about 3 days of normal play, shorter if you just binge.
Once you get Draenor Flying through the Pathfinder achievement, you can do it in an hour with the XP potions.
Right now there's not alot for people to do outside of Tanaan and HFC, so it'll be easier to get PUG runs. Once the prepatch hits, demon invasions and the transmog system will occupy some people.
