The Hot Pursuit series was bar far the best. I have fond memories of all 3 games. The (2012) HP is passable.
Underground was good in it's own right, if you treat it as a spin off game. It's just one of many branches in the NSF franchise.
Unfortunately NFS is by all accounts completely dead, a defunct franchise.

If someone told me rush was going to be in this game, I would have laughed at them but somehow this is the PERFECT Rush track to put in. Those drums and guitar riffs make me cream when flying through that redwood level. Of course I had no idea who rush was when I played the shit out of this back in 2003.
