the maps are uninspired, but functional. But the game feels smooth as butter to play
I don't know how I feel about the card system bounty things but the multiplayer feels right and it's really fun

I like the maps, but most of my matches are laggy and the gameplay feels choppy compared to UE
Haven't played it unfortunately, but is the art style the same as the other games? Looks different, I don't know what it is.
Gears died for me when respawn-based modes became the main focus over execution/warzone.

This game is putrid, dumbed down shit.
Since shotguns gib in half a shot and they've gone out of their way to ensure there's no tech, which means it suicidal to try to approach someone behind cover by yourself, which just makes the game based on sneak attacks and holding hands.

You must just play campaign then, because every Gears has a vastly different meta for online.
If Gears has a problem it's that it didn't keep building on the series like Gears 2 did, instead they make Gears flavoured Halo.

I wouldn't worry so much about Graphics. They've stated that it will look and function badly as this is an actual beta, not a marketing "Beta" (e.g. buy this game GET TO PLAY IT ONE WEEK BEFORE RELEASE).
You'd be surprised at the graphical improvements that get shoved in at the last moment, from replacing placeholders to realizing something could be done better.
Gears 4 still has 6months+ of development time. The only thing people should worry about is whether the game plays like shit.
