Technically you don't need to kill the tree. They are in the Farron Keep swamp area. 1 is near a tower and 2 are just before the Watcher fight.

The only spot in the game that invaders can truly have an advantage over co-oping groups is the Archdragon Peak. If you are invading anywhere else and are having trouble with groups don't even bother.
I co-op'd almost the entire game with Sunbro friend of mine from Steam, we shat on invaders the entire way through but had problems at Archdragon Peak because the enemies are tough and the areas are close quarters. Not to mention the never ending invading NPC in Lothric armor.

No, I get it, I'm supposed to be invaded there, but I keep hearing shitters whining about never invading solo players. I got invaded by one of each on most occasions.
I also got invaded 3 times in the dungeon before I gave up popping embers there. I don't have a problem with being invaded most of the time, but the later areas of this game are actually pretty fuckin rough at times.
