fucking hell when did they switch the subject and option fields?
>2017
Why did they have to announce it now? Fucking hell.
It looks a bit Heroes of Might and Magic-esque, but in real time and without the grid.
Man, how long do you think it'll be before they decide to make a movie for shit's and giggles?
I mean they got music and presentation down real good, I'd be really stoked if they popped out something like a rock opera or whatever that kind of thing would be called.
>>334823373
id love a prequel movie to transistor
Hopefully they got their shit together and came up with good gameplay as well as aesthetics and music
>>334822646
artstyle reminds me of the banner saga
>those sick dunks
IT'S TIME TO SLAM JAM
>>334823676
I want to fuck the horned lady
>2017
JUST
>>334823676
Goddamn, someday I wanna be as good as JenZee
Oh man I fucking love Supergiant Games.
Here's hoping this one'll be as great as Bastion and Transistor.
>>334824063
>1 year away
wow. 2017 isnt that far away man
>Strands may break alone
>But twisted, make a braid
hnnng. I fucking love these guys
>>334824178
Not him, but since they revealed this game pretty much out of nowhere after two years of complete silence and not even at a conference I thought it was about to be released.
>>334824063
>the years aren't flying by for him as he hurtles toward a grave as a worthless neet
2017 is basically a week at this rate
>>334824363
That's so fascist.
Gonna need some clarity on that 'battle' system.
It's like basketball with attacks?
>>334824029
>lady
I have doubt.
>>334824573
>I don't even know what fascism is XD
>more goodness from Darren Korb
Yes please!
>game by supergiant
i'm ready
>>334824725
I can't tell if you got the joke or not.
>>334823676
The guy on the left reminds me of the 2008 Prince
>>334824974
>was only pretending to be retarded, it was just a joke!
THAT MUSIC
>>334825148
is saturday morning cartoon tier
pretty game tho
>>334825143
I'll do it anyway, you never know:
>The term fascismo is derived from fascio meaning a bundle of rods, ultimately from the Latin word fasces.
>The symbolism of the fasces suggested strength through unity: a single rod is easily broken, while the bundle is difficult to break.
>>334822646
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
>Darren Korb again
That's all I asked for and since Supergiant never disappointed me yet I'll buy it day 1. I'm hype.
>>334822646
I'm hopefull that, gameplay wise, it seems like they are moving away a bit from the formula they set up with bastion and transistor. They've already made the same game twice very well now
transistor was garbage but this looks a lot nicer
OUT OF FUCKING NOWHERE
>2017
Okay
>>334825607
Bastion and Transistor are completely different gameplay wise
Turn() changes everything
>>334822646
Great. More pretentious, hipster trash, 3 hour "experience" with little to no substance.
If they'd focus more on gameplay, actual level design and replayability, their games would be worth a damn outside of soundtrack playlists.
All I wanted was Bastion 2 with a bigger world/levels which you could fucking revisit, new mechanics and the continuation of the story. Guess that's too much to ask when SG pumps all of their money in the art department.
>>334826657
>continuing a perfectly finished story
>using memewords like pretentious, and hipster, which you don't even know the meaning of appearantly
please kill yourself irl
>>334825607
>They've already made the same game twice very well now
Are you demented or just trolling? The two games have almost nothing in common gameplay/mechanic wise
Transistor's still in my backlog. Is it worth a playthrough?
The art style doesn't look as good as Bastion and is nowhere near as good looking as Transistor. The song isn't on the same level either.
How does the combat system work? It looks weird as fuck. Almost looks like some sort of MOBA shit.
Despite my cricticisms, I enjoyed both Bastion and Transistor a lot and will most certainly play this game when it comes out.
>>334827096
Yes.
>>334827096
At least one. It's pretty good.
>>334826909
Even though Transistor was an ok game it was still a step back for SG regardless what you might think about it. What's the matter, gonna cry because someone doesn't jump on your hype wagon?
You're right we don't need any decent western 2D adventures/RPGs, let's hype up and pump out more mediocre art projects and call it a videogame! Nothing says quality videogame like 80% presentation and 20% actual gameplay, am I right?
>>334827096
try it I doubt you'll finish it. Boring as hell compared to Bastion
>>334827367
at least don't try to justify calling something a "pretentious hipster trash" by "not jumping on your hype wagon" shitposter-kun
>>334824063
>2017
>>334827367
>it was still a step back for SG regardless of what you might think about it
>literally saying "my opinion is right and yours is wrong"
troll harder
>>334822646
I knew that while Transistor didn't sell nearly as well as Bastion did, I actually didn't expect it to have sold almost 900k on PC.
Guess their games does well for them. Good for these guys cause they're pretty talented.
>>334823676
>>334822646
That's a big woman.
>>334823676
looks nic desu
>>334828323
the mobile anbd console versions also sold really well, I think they broke 2 million in total
>>334826657
>All I wanted was Bastion 2 with a
Holy fuck, how fucking wrong could you be? Bastion ended perfectly, it definitely doesn't need to be revisited.
This point alone makes the rest of your post questionable. Transistor was a good game, and so was Bastion. 2 for 2 so far, I'm looking forward to Pyre.
So it's like Heroes of Might and Magic meets 3 on 3 B-Ball, I'm kinda into it.
I haven't played Bastion. Is it better than Transistor?
>>334829009
How?
Bastion is probably one of the best short pc games to come out in the last decade and at this point it sells for like 3 dollars. Go play it you mong.
>>334829009
Better gameplay and story
Not as good on atmosphere, setting and artstyle
>>334829009
both are quite different games
most people prefer Bastion, but both games are a hundred times better than 95% of the games the AAA industry shat out in the last 10 years
>>334829009
Gameplay is much more simple and less interesting and the art-style and music isn't quite as good, but the narration and story are much better.
>>334829171
>>334829176
>>334829404
I guess I better go play it then. Thanks
>>334829551
have funforgive him
>>334822646
Well that looks a lot different than Bastion and Transistor
Hopefully it still has fantastic voice-acting and cute waifus
Looks pretty cool. I just hope they cram more game into it and less artsy shit.
Also the music doesn't seem that memorable. Sure as hell not on the level of the Transistor trailer.
>>334829009
story and execution of it is great.
combat is simpler but feels more intuitive but a bit more rigid.
music and aesthetics of both games can be debatable
>>334823768
It doesn't even look remotely similar to the Banner Saga's style.
>>334829009
bastion is in my top 5 games of all time
i would say bastion is a better game but music wise transistor is better
for the love of everything that is good play bastion, do yourself a favor
it may make me sound like a hipster but bastion is honestly one of the best games ever made
>>334829885
>racemixer
fucking dropped
How are they going to put that one old guy's commentary in this game
>>334829009
Bastion has better gameplay
Transistor has better everything else
>>334829601
>play bastion new game+ planning on killing him and going on a journey after i forgave and reset last time
>finally get their and can't bring myself to do it so just forgive him again
Dem emotionally fueled choices.
>>334830002
you mean the based black VA?
maybe he's no longer an omniscient commentator and now an actual playable character?
>inb4 he's the goat creature
>>334829885
I prefer Bastion music, but both it and Transistor's OST have earned a permanent spot on my player
>>334830002
>a secretive competition through which the worthiest exiles can return home, absolved of their transgressions
>competition
Should be easy
>>334823768
Yes>>334823676
The guys with giant horns on their heads does kinda resemble that.
>>334828482
It's sad that all people want are sequels done over and over again slightly iterating on things until death.
I wish more developers said fuck it and made as much original things as they could. I'm glad From is also stopping with the Souls games. DS3 is the perfect place to stop.
>>334830373
Yeah making something new every time is great and all but I want Klei to make another stealth scroller
WHO ELSE IS GOING TO PAX AND TRYING IT OUT
ROLL CALL FAGGOTS
Now I actually have a reason to line up super fucking early on Friday.
>>334827096
No, played it myself Saturday. Do yourself a favor and just download the soundtrack, and maybe have a fap to Red. That's all it's good for.
>>334830665
Looking forward to impressions on how it plays. I'm all for the concept and the idea of it, but the combat looks like some weird basketball moba thing.
>>334827096
Yes. Good story, graphics and okay gameplay (has a few problems but nothing major.)
>>334827367
Almost the entirety of Transistor is gameplay. The entire game is just one long gameplay ride, what are you even talking about?
