Modders refusing sharing their mods is much more common with Japanese modders. They usually have some kind of gajin test to access their downloads so no filthy Westerners can get their mods. Not all of them share this mindset, but quite a lot do.

I do agree with the questionable quality, and the pacing was indeed awkward (Let's fit six stories into one cour by giving each two episodes!) but with thanks to a general understanding, I could understand most of it. Apart from the eggplant fetish.
At least that's one thing I can scrap off the backlog, but it does make the games a little more interesting, in the sense that those ARE easier to follow, and perhaps more in-depth.
