Bullshit. Bull fucking shit.

I refuse to believe that 1.3% of the owners of FFIX on Steam have actually made almost 1000 consecutively frame perfect jumps (almost because the jumps don’t become frame perfect until about over 100). Back in my day we used Gameshark for that King of Jump Rope item but on the PC port?

I’m not exactly sure how many people bought the port so far. According to SteamCharts the port currently has had a peak of 8000+ players and Store.SteamPowered/Stats/ states that 6000+ users played the game in the past 24 hours (neither of which are accurate as to how many people own a game but I’ll take what I can).

If the 8000+ number is correct than that means over 104+ people did this. That is bullshit. I don't think 1 single person has done so and provided proof.

So where is the cheat, /V/?

It was possible on PAL but the margin of error you had was insane. It wouldn't be until the internet age that we would learn how to manipulate the game to avoid random encounters. Without that, its very much impossible on Pal unless you gameshark to remove encounters or 1 hit kill things and at that point you may as well just gameshark it into your inventory and be done with it!

He really doesn't. The last time he was hired by Square was for FF14, and they replaced all his music in the remake. Thankfully, he can still shine in Mistwalker's titles. The music he composed for Lost Odyssey is his best work since FFVIII, and Square's composers haven't even been close. FF music post-Uematsu is a bad joke.

Then cheat to give yourself double health instead of infinite.
On a PC you can decide exactly how you want to play a game yourself.
There's no need to be a cuck who plays a game 'correctly', whatever that means. Do what you want, it's your game.

You can fight the grand dragons early from the ladder in Gizamaluke's grotto. And as soon as you get reflect ring from Treno at the start of disc 2, you can safely farm the Grand Dragons with Reflect and Blizzara on all your party. That will do about 7-9k damage, and dragons have about 16k health.

The other way, which is a disc 1 method was relying on Limit Glove, or Mustard Bomb

The timer displayed in the menu does change color every 100 hours for about 8 times, then stops counting at a green 99:59:59 after 801 hours of game time (as long as the overflow glitch doesn't kick in). The reset that makes Excalibur II reappear is not related to this behavior.

The overflow glitch happens after the game counts 2^32 = 4294967296 frames of game time. If you have the NTSC version which goes at 60 frames per second, then it's equal to about 19884 hours of game time. If you have the PAL version at 50 fps, it'll take about 23861 hours. After this much time, the game clock will roll back to 00:00:00 as if you just started a new game.

BUT the pc version runs at 30 fps, so 39768 hours: 1657 days and change

>>
>>334799386
Shit's easy to understand. It just doesn't outright tell you, and it's completely braindead easy to figure out on your own.

First value is Attack power, 2nd value is damage type(Physical Magical of flexible) last 2 values are Physical defense and magical defense. Flexible damage takes the lowest defense. the 3 values scale in hexadecimal.

There, you now know how to play.
>>
>>334799386
>>334799513

Just know that 5 physical defense and A magical defense can and will frequently lose to a 1 attack power card when RNG decides to fuck you in the ass.

It's the one thing that keeps this minigame from being my all time favorite.

what was different between pal and NTCS that made pal that much slower?
>>
>>334799623
PAL TVs = 50 hz
NTCS = 60 hz
>>
>>334799595
Because you don't actually fight or go against their defense.
How combat works is your card's attack value is given a random number based off it's hexadecimal value, which is then subtracted from the card value. Same is done for the defender's defense stat. Who ever has the highest difference, wins.
It has RNG built into it that it calculates on it's own, allowing a strong card to lose to a weak card.
>>
>>334799435
In VII he was Story Planner with Nomura but for writing it also had Nojima and Kitase working on it.

>It could be a coincidence that the games since his departure have been sub-par, but then again, maybe not.

While it's subjective regarding both "his" games and games that were released after his departure (desu I like most if not all games that have Nomura in a bigger role) I can only say that Lost Odyssey was uninspired as hell and was completely mediocre experience. Hell, even for writing it was complete boredom aside from the short stories which weren't written by him.

It is the best version of FF9. It has none of the old slowdowns, skippable cutscenes, greatly improved PC models and cutscene quality, an option to toggle the pre battle camera pan, and the upscaled backgrounds are better looking than what is possible through emulation.

On the negative end the backgrounds still look like shit but this is an unavoidable thing. This is the definitive version of FF9 now.

Stops the camera from zooming in when you cast a spell. And ATB wait sets the ATB bar to wait when you're managing menus and deciding on what skill to use. Active means it doesn't wait for you to pick your skill/spell and constantly fills. Those 2 were in the original.

Same as they did in the original. ATB set to wait makes menu navigation pause ATB timers and the original Battle Camera option just kept it fixed or allowed it to pan around during attacks and skill usage.

The new option, Skip Battle Camera, as I understand it just skips the opening pan.
>>
>>334802086
ATB active = enemies do stuff while you're choosing commands
ATB wait = enemies don't do stuff while you're choosing commands(only when you're in a sub-menu. Enemies will still do stuff if you're on the primary menus. Go into a submenu like choosing an item/spell/ability, that's where it works)

Skip battle camera = no fancy camera works when spells/abilities/attack etc. No fun allowed mode.
