RoS fixed most of those issues, some may seem questionable:

>power creep - damage you can deal rises with every next patch, damage multipliers on items easily go into hundreds or even thousands now, sets make you absurdly powerful
But other than that the game has gotten much better. Classes will never be perfectly balanced, but they are pretty close to each other, there are many more viable builds available (more interesting to play too and with variations), rifts/grifts are pretty cool, bounties, upgrading epic gems, Kanai Cube, all that makes the game pretty interesting and keeps you playing at least for few weeks every new season.

all they have to do is design tilesets and level pieces and plug them into a map generator. keep adding more sets and pieces and make maps more random and have bottomless dungeons to slaughter demons and get loot.
instead it takes them 2 years to make a whopping two new maps and they still insist on forcing a stupid token system to grind rifts. they said "we dont like specific crafting materials" got rid of them then brought them back again to gamble an item into possibly being ancient.
then they keep insisting players only play the game in 15 minute (rifts) chunks. 4 years after vanilla and you still have to restart the game 35 times to find the color dye you want and now you have to wait for ages for seasons to play out just have a shot to unlock a stash tab which in itself makes players burn out 4x faster. the game has no qol whatsoever.
