my life

Is this game good? Want to try it, but I'm not sure
fuck off OP, if you wanted to have a LISA thread you could've just said so
>>334715757
Regarding the OP, I think that undertale, but because I haven't played other thing that qualifies as deppresing
>>334715780
I actually didn't. But okay, if you so
>>334715593
you posted it
>>334715950
That's because this is my pick for the most depressing game I've played. That simple anon.
>>334715757
LISA The Painful is great. Kinda one sided with lots of RNGesus, and kinda annoying on Pain Mode instead of fun. But the story more than makes up for it.
LISA The Joyful is kinda off. Gameplay wise its more fun, but story wise it's kinda lame.Until the endLISA the First is alright. Yume Nikki clone. You get it.
>>334715757
Pirate the Kickstarter demo. If you like it, buy (or pirate) the game.
>>334716140
>>334716162
That sounds good. Thanks. I'll make sure to try it when possible.
>>334716443
Just remember to come back one day and post you party!
Speaking of which, if people are here to discuss LISA, what was your party?
>Olan, Garth, Mad Dog
>>334716703
Ok. I'll do it
Just remove my memories right now, famtachi.
Kikokugai.
>Just started playing the game
>mfw the orphanage
What was the point of that
>>334717002
Becausebrad turns into a joy mutant at the end
>>334715593
Terranigma
Demon's Souls
It wasn't too depressing though but more than other games I usually play.
>>334717002
Make you suffer.
>>334717146
What does that even have to do?
Silent Hill 2. I imagine the journey he goes through is him coming to terms with his depression.
UndertaleAsriel reminds me too much of my best friend who died five years ago.

It's weird and highly challenging for a turn-based combat game. The difficulty is the biggest flaw, as a lot of the more interesting party members are hell to make viable in the late game and there is an objectively correct party choiceTerry, Birdie, Mad Dogfor maximum damage, which matters heavily when lategame enemies can kill your party members permanently and you have to get them down as soon as possible.
But it's great and highly unique, from the writing to the soundtrack. Worth a buy for sure.

>didn't want a LISA thread
LISA threads are great though, it's good to have them.
>>334717545
Woah. I feel sorry you, man. :/
>>334716872
>that fucking giggle she does at the true end
Made me more mad than depressed.
Forgot to add Majora's Mask
Felt sad after beating it and that apocalyptic wedding was awesome.
>>334717002
Just for the fuck of it.
Incidentally that guy gets a callback later and you get to see the first most tragic thing that's ever happened to him.
Actual spoiler:Someone else got his bulldozing degree because of a very similar name.
>>334715593The ending of Dragon's Dogma, then playing through the Arisen DLC. I was already a depressed person who wanted to kill themselves, watching my character do it by my hand was a little too much for me.

There's no time for pain now.

>Gameplay wise its more fun, but story wise it's kinda lame.
For me it was exactly the opposite, gameplay consisted of using one skill over and over again while chugging Horse Jerky down my throat, which became extremely repetitive and frustrating as I aimed for a no Joy playthrough.
On the bright side, Joyful felt like a great closure to the whole story and left me satisfied. One of the best experiences I've had with games in a long time, I wish I was in the threads back when the game was still fresh or that I'd have someone who played it talk to IRL.
