Am i the only one that feels like this? Skyrim, Falout 4, The Last of Us were all masterpieces with exceptional story. What did they all have in common?
Not a single one of these four games had multiplayer.

That's just TES in general. Not defending Skyrim at all, it has plenty of problems, but TES stories have always had a tendency to raise further questions than actually answer them.

Video games are literally bottom of the barrel when it comes to compelling storytelling. The only video game I've ever played that caused any emotional response in me was Chrono Trigger, the MGS series at different points and (barely) undertale. Video games are horribly written 96% of the time, and the characters are horribly one dimensional, for the purpose of immersing you as a player into the power fantasy they've laid before you. TV comedy shows have a more robust and interesting story than almost every video game to release today. Claiming any of these games are masterpieces is like saying my 6 year old sons drawing of a horse is equal to the Mona Lisa
TW3's story sucks, especially when you compare it to TW1 and TW2.
Once you've done the red baron quest, it's generic. It's the same level as TLOU.

Those games all have shit stories. But I agree that "story" (i.e. context and premise, character design, world building, lore, etc.) is extremely important.
Also, that multiplayer is in general fucking gay. God damn, how many tens of thousands of hours can retards pour into the same 5 arenas their entire lives? PVP is just awful and I can only enjoy it for a few hours when it feels really fresh, beyond that it's repetitive as fuck and terrible.
Co-op is where it's at though. More games need co-op, and good stories that supplement it.
I'm also sick and fucking tired of seeing people make a distinction between "gameplay" and "aesthetics" as if there is one. Newsflash, the character and world designs, context, premise / story, etc. are all a part of the game as much as the mechanics, player controls, AI, etc. It is complete bullshit to think otherwise.
