Soase is probably my favorite game of all time. I'm looking for a game like this with an active community.

yeah man, I want to get rebellion on steam, but I missed the 75% off sale so it's just not worth it at $40.
I just don't know what to do. I don't know any games that even come close to the epic scale of soase
The way Sins of a Solar Empire is balanced doesn't work with me and my group. The game is balanced as sort of a medium speed RTS but we all play so slow we've researched everything before anyone actually attacks eachother and that really brings out some imbalances. Wish there was a good space game to play that lasted longer.

Sword of the Stars (do NOT play 2) with the ACM mod is great. Games can take 5-10x longer than SoaSE with deeper mechanics in most areas.
