Were there any multiplatform games where the Gamecube version was the preferred version over ones on other non-PC platforms or just worthwhile for unique aspects (loads faster, exclusive content)?
I can only think of:
- Soul Calibur 2 (for its unique character not in 360/PS3 HD remake)
- Eternal Arcadia (added content and reduced encounter rate from Dreamcast original)
I do not know about SSX: On Tour which I think has exclusive characters but may have lost some music tracks with less storage space on the small discs.

First of all, you need to bag some component cables to hook this up to an HDTV with 480p.
If you don't have the component cables, you should purchase a Wii with component cables for about 60 bucks.
