There's really only 2 games on the Wii U worth playing online, one of which I got out of my system and traded in already, the other I can always run on my 3DS if I really wanted to play online (with free DLC to boot!)

Free games is cool and all, but watching buttfrustrated nintendo fanboys try to tear me down a peg just makes it even sweeter.

Aren't there more single player games than multi on Wii U though? Pirates can still enjoy Frozen Dong and Bannedonetta 2
>>
>>334704990

There's also Mario Maker, which is the #1 reason my Wii U will still be getting any use in 2016 and beyond other than Star Fox/Zelda.
>>
>>334701230

>incoming 70 metacritic
>>
>>334705180
Why would he never be able to play online again? Wii U piracy just involves keeping your firmware from updating. The exploit doesn't permantely block you from online, once someone comes up with a proper CFW exploit he'll be able to use online like on the 3DS

Also Wii U has an online scene? Besides splatoon I mean. Cause if it does Star Fox sure as shit aint getting one.
>>
>>334705391
But I can and will get games for free when the console is abandoned and servers shutdown.
For now, though, I'll enjoy all these online:

Who cares? Why would sales dicated the quality of the games? Unless you're a fanboy of course.

Every single game I care about is playable without online, and the vast majority of them don't have online modes worth bothering with anyway. That's really all that matters.
>>
>>334705759
Bayo 2 has an online co-op mode.
The only game you can play on other systems is sonic racing, unless you're going to be a pedant and count previous entries in smash/mk

You are allowed to lanbast it, but others are allowed to respond to that to praise it instead, which is likely to happen given what I pointed out regarding its positive reception so far.

Splatoon actually works on the latest version of Loadiine, you just don't have access to the multiplayer mode. Still sucks, but not the same as not being able to play at all.

>>334709757
I don't really see how. Less than 1% of 3DS owners pirate their games even though it doesn't require a flashcart and almost every model is hackable. Smash and Kart I only play when friends are over because I did t buy those games to play online using Nintendo's horrible network. >Felt horrible to pay full price for Star Fox Zero recently.
Huh? Did you preorder it?
Why even do that?

But yeah, I agree that many games have been surprisingly cheap, although some just don't seem to want to shift (Pikmin 3, SM3DW, WWHD/TPHD, DKTF just to name a few, but 2 of those at least are getting Selects releases)

So what did you apparently say?

the guy is a "never my fault" person, it's hard to argue with him

the best idea is to ignore his existence
>>

Because I want to play it now and I came across the first print edition with Guard. Yeah, I really want WW and Pikmin to drop. I don't do Selects desu since it tickles my autism too much.

>>334710767
yes it is, go get it

Starfox Zero/10
>>

Pikmin doesn't even have a Selects release in Europe anyway, looks like it's a guaranteed pirate for me - once I'm done with online anyway.

actually i found what hes talking about, but it seems like speculation.

Yeah, Fox is genderfluid now and the level system has been edited so it's not mancentric anymore.
>>
>>334711778
i hope they made the game accessible to women

like having fox and falco be hot and giving you a "watch game" option

Muh boy, let me hug you.

Second place to keyboard and mouse, but ahead of twin stick by a significant margin in precision.

Not him but pointer controls will always be better then gyro in comparison in my opinion. One of the reasons why Twilight Princess's Bow was preferred over Skyward Sword's Bow. Metroid Prime 3 and S&P2 also use pointer controls fantastically as well, but I don't mind gyro for SF0 as I'm sure from what I've seen, it'll be fine.
>>
>>334707452
I'm excited for the game but the co-op doesn't look fun to me. It's too simple and easy to only manage one task (shooting contra steering). Where's the challenge that makes it fun? I would love to be convinced otherwise.

>pointer controls will always be better then gyro
Objective it's less precise, even with the motion+.

It's not really a debate thing, you're just more comfortable with the less precise device, the same way some people will play an FPS better with a controller than a mouse, despite the difference in precision.
>>
>>334713807
Eh. I guess's that's a possibility, but I don't mind. I still say pointer is better over traditional analog for aiming at the very least. RE4 on Wii played extremely well due to the new pointer controls.
>>
>>334713992
Pointing isn't inherently bad, like twin sticks aren't "bad" but there is a sliding scale of how precise different inputs can be from least to most precision

Twin stick, pointing, gyro, mouse
>>
Is the single player also gyro?

Splatoon, W101, and Uprising prove that your typical reviewer is low-functioning. As sad as that may be, I've accepted it.

What's actually going to irritate me will be the inevitable complaints about the length. After showering Gone Home with accolades, these asshats lost the right to bitch about a game being too short (especially if they deliberately ignore additional content).
