Two questions, /v/:
1) How do I start playing Dota/Dota 2?
2) Is there a f2p not casual gameplay mmo, where you aren't forced to donate to progress in the game?
don't

1) How do I start playing Dota/Dota 2?
Apparently dota 2 has some kind of tutorial where you learn everything and bot matches where you can play alongside other people against bots. There's also custom games like overthrow where you get gold easily and can try out some heroes, and since it's only custom games nobody really gets mad at you for fucking up their game.

play with humans vs bots

Yeah, the community in dota is some scary thing. Why do people spend like 2000 hours of their life on it? Don't all mobas suffer from this?
Want to explore moba genre and can't decide what to pick.

This, Dota 2 consumed my life and I have great fun with it.
The knowledge barrier is the hardest part for a begginner, its 100+ heroes with 100+ items, and you can only start playing well when you know what they all do
