Sonic all star racing transformed is an excellent game, it's surprisingly technical with a huge learning curve and loads of content. Mario Kart 8 is a much better pick up and play game, I find it easier to play with friends. I've tried playing Sonic asrt with friends and the difficulty was a huge turn off for them, not a great party game.

Steam has most content, and better if you get close to 60 fps.
Wii U is the one with most multiplayer modes out of all versions, and you can play up to 5 players, but be aware with that many the fps will be worse.
Ps3 has the highest resolution out of all console versions (720p).
If I had to guess, the version with more people playing on would be the wii u or steam one, still the online is pretty dead on them too.

You know that isn't true, New Super Mario Bros is a very great platforming series.
The level design from NSMBWi onwards and definitely NSMBU is a step up from SMW while also giving more use to mechanics that were underused between SMB and SMW.

I'm only real complaint with Mario kart 8 is it's exclusion of alphabet ranking (A,B,C,D,E) and the star ranking being the only rank used. It not only throws the difficulty of Mario kart Wii and DS out the window but it makes the offline mode have no replay value because you can get three stars simply by winning first place 4 times, when in the past it was more than being first place that won you three star ranking
