This has literally never been an issue for anyone, besides the fact every time your Xbone controller dies you have to hunt down new AAs, use rechargables you already have, or buy a recharge kit for more microsoft sheckles.
Unless you're gaming for 8+ hour gaming sessions straight, battery life isn't a fucking problem. Even then, you probably have two controllers, and they charge with any micro USB cable (with some pretty neat stands out there to charge your controllers).

I bought them for my 360 controllers. Never again, those were a fucking huge waste of money. I bought like 3 of them and they all broke within a year or two. I also bought one from fucking Gamestop and that one had even worse quality.
