The actual Steam Machines flopped, but SteamOS is pretty good for a custom-built HTPC. You get to save money not buying a Windows key and can stream Windows games straight to the Debian-based SteamOS machine from your power tower. Although personally, I run Debian on all my PC's since I'm not a fan of running Botnet as an actual Operating System.
