We have deadlines to meet. If someone has already written code to do what I want then why should I waste my time coding it from scratch, figuring out how everything works, and finding the right libraries?
Prototype blatantly ripped off a ridiculous amount of its plot and gameplay from Spider-Man: Web of Shadows. It's literally just edgier Spider-Man. Some of the exact moves are even ripped from it.
