Took me maybe 20 or 30 tries.
Though I never used the pot cuz I stupidly used it in an earlier battle.
Beating him probably took me three times, getting to him took me at least fifty. Fuck those spikes at the entrance.
Also, did anyone else stand on his eyes so Spur beam hits both?

I'm on it right now. Still passing through literal hell and I need tips on how to beat the mid boss, hopefully I tried the Spur in this walkthrough.
I gave for now and decided to browse /v/ to make up for the hell that was trying to pass that last stage. Does /v/ in general consider that stage very hard?Also, I already wasted my lifepot. Is there hope for me yet or I should try to get back? Please help me /v/

You mean Heavy Press?
You can't focus on one thing too long; you have to shift your attention constantly. Also, when you dodge a Roller or Angel, make sure you don't run into something else in the process. If your health gets down, kill lots of Angels to get it back up. If you need to go past one of the little chutes where the Angels emerge, wait til they emerge before going over it so they don't surprise you. Shoot as fast as you can when attacking Heavy Press.
Most of all, notice the pattern and keep a good rhythm going. Don't let too many Angels emerge.
I had a hard time too, but some people on /v/ don't find Heavy Press very hard. You'll get better.
Like 5 or 6 attempts I think? I found out in the phase where he jumps around that you can just sit in his eye. So in the last phase, after dying to all his bullshit once or twice, I just got hit by the spikes that grow on the bottom of the stage, because getting hit by his spinning balls was like triple the amount of damage, and flew into his eye to just spam missiles before I died.

Didn't take the missile launcher so I could get more health and EXP.
Made quite a few attempts. Though most of them allowed me to crawl closer and closer to the end. Difficulty done right, even if it did spike kind of intensively. Suitable for a post-game feature I suppose.
I did use a life pot however.

The boss by itself doesn't seem too bad, but the great problem is how difficult is to pass especifically the first parts and how time consuming is to pass the other parts. But it's the very last stage of the game so I'm not mad, just tired.
I just hope there's a save disk after the Heavy Press.

I tried that stage until I could play it for fun and get to Ballos fast. I used the jar on the core so I had no option but to get better
