Parents got divorced when I was five and my dad moved to the other side of the country. Never had a ton of money growing up but mom worked for an airline so visiting him wasn't a problem and I'd go out to his place every summer.
While I was a console kid growing up he had a computer so I got to fuck around with a lot of PC games there before I got my own.
We'd mostly play Mechwarrior, Worms, and Heroes of Might and Magic.
We actually played vanilla Wow together but he was pretty bad at the game and preferred to roleplay. (one of my first memories was mom and dad playing D&D with their group)
He just plays TOR these days. I declined any invite to play with him as graciously as I could manage.
I'm 27 and I have never had a girlfriend but my boss says I should have kids as soon as possible and the only thing in life he regrets is having kids at 40 and not 20

I used to play Gran Turismo with my mom and my aunt back when I first got the game in Christmas '99.
Everytime I didn't win I sperged out and cried (I was six at the time). Eventually they didn't wanted to play with me anymore. I didn't wanted to play either as the PS1's boot up sound scared the fuck out of me. God, I was a special kind of faggot back then.
By the time I got the balls to handle defeat and embrace the demons I summoned every time I pressed the PS1's Power button (like a year after) it was too late as they were too busy doing other stuff to play with me.

Now I'm back to my 2nd year through college with less motivation, and a family with HIGH expectations (family of doctors).
