>playing Battlefleet Gothic: Armada multiplayer
>that one mission where the attacker has to destroy two space platforms and run to the other side of the map
>I'm the defender
>his fleet consists of two ork kroozers and two escorts
>he rams his escorts into the stations
>the bulk of my fleet engages his flagship
>i send one cruiser to slow his other flagship down
>i manage to sink his flagship but he destroys both stations
>the lone cruiser I sent gets their engines whacked
>his kroozer about to get away
>send a ton of torpedoes along his path out of desperation
>only one makes its mark, he's left with 90% hull integrity
>oh well I tried
>suddenly he begins emergency warp prep
>INSUBORDINATION
>types "insubordination bs" just before he jumps
Who /battlefleetgothic/ here?
>information recovery as orks
JUST KILL ME NOW
I know I can never catch up to those ships because orks are so fucking slow and have shitty manoeuvring.
They are relaunching BFG this year in the tt game. I actually want to get involved and play it, always was interested in 40K but I just don't like infantry battles.
>post yfw RAMMING SPEED
>cruiser clash vs an Eldar as Orks
>I destroy his escort during our initial engagement, ram down his light cruiser soon after, but his second line ship survives and starts running circles around my slow ass ships while launching Khaine's at me every cooldown
>my range is half of his, my ships are slow as shit and his Khaines broke generator, deck and engines on the only ship in my fleet that had teleport
>I still have a functioning light cruiser and an escort, but while trying to chase the fruity spess elf down I forget about my engine broken ship that only has a sliver of hp left, it stays far behind
>suddenly Eldar smells blood, takes a Vaul manoeuvre and charges full speed at my broken ship while charging up his death lazor, my ships eat dust yet again
>while trying to circle around my now burning and heavily damaged ship he loses control and rams right into it mid-turn
>his full HP ship explodes, my burning immobilised light cruiser that sat there for last 10 minutes doesn't even take any visible damage
>I win
Truly the Eldar are the engineers of their own destruction.
Bump for a game I can't wait to play.

>post yfw HIGH ENERGY TURN that dodges your ram by a pixel
>Its Planet Killer memeship
The space battles in 40k are so ridicilously over the top and awesome.
>Corax, while trying to escape a Word Bearer blockade, jumps into the Warp meters away from a WB ship which also gets pulled into the Warp and gets raped by Daemons because it didn't have the Gellar field on
>Angron has giant pulling claws on his flagship, so they can pull other ships to it and board them without boarding torpedoes
>all those human officers that realized that they are fucked against such numbers and they just plow straight into the enemy fleet broadsiding everything to buy more time for everyone else
>that Chaos sorceror that has a change of heart during one of the Black Crusades and just starts destroying everyone around him and then blows his ship to to try to attone to the Emperor
>Kharn jumping on top of a fighter craft so he can board an enemy ship
>Astral Knights ramming their Battle Barge into a Necron super ship and then fighting to the last Marine to allow for it's destruction
>Navy officers ramming their ships into enemies and then detonating their engines as a last act of defiance
Just as a quick aside because this thread is more likely to have Warhammer people in it but just how jank is Corsair at the moment?
The voice overs in the Stream trailers are hilariously bad but the game itself does seem like its quite alot of fun.
>fighting against Eldar
>he's running circles against my slower imperial ships
>launch a torpedo salvo at his path
>he goes for that fast dash move to get out of the way
>he ends up right beside one of his other cruisers
>forgot to turn off Full Speed Ahead for one of my cruisers trying to get a better angle
>it plows through both Eldar cruiser and takes them down in a single maneuver
>i didn't even have time to trash talk because i won so fast
I wish this game had replays
Is the game any good and has it a solid community? Or is it dead by now?
I'm really interested in the game and my friends are too, but I find pretty difficult to trust a GW licensed vidya.

I don't know about community but you get matches real quick in the multi. It's pretty rare to wait for more than a minute for a game.
>>334587189
The game isn't even released yet, and right now you can find matches in less than a minute. I don't think it'll be dying anytime soon.

>The Imperial response force included the entire sector fleet and elements from fifteen Space Marine chapters, including the Blood Angels[3], Ultramarines, Astral Knights, Invaders, Red Consuls[4] and Aurora Chapters. But the World Engine's void shields were impervious to any weapon the Imperium could fire at it, and prevented any direct assault, repelling Drop Pods and Boarding Torpedoes alike, and hopelessly scrambling teleportation beams. After two full Terminator Squads from the Invaders were lost in an attempt to teleport through the shields, further attempts were forbidden. Meanwhile, the World Engine's weapons systems wreaked havoc on the Imperial task force, destroying or crippling countless ships and inflicting millions of casualties.[1a]
>It was only the sacrifice of the Astral Knights that allowed the monstrous craft to be destroyed. In a gamble, Chapter Master Artor Amhrad piloted the Battle barge Tempestus on a collision course. Where conventional weapons had failed to break through the World Engine's shields, the adamantium-tipped prow of the Tempestus punched through, and the entire Astral Knights chapter deployed to the surface of the craft in Drop Pods.
>Inside the World Engine were tens of thousands of Necron warriors, opposing the attack of seven hundred and seventy-two Space Marines. The battle inside the World Engine lasted for more than a hundred hours, the Space Marines methodically destroying every Flux generator, weapon forge and Command node in their path.[1a]
At the end, only Amhrad and five other marines were left alive, as they fought into the central command tomb. Amhrad's last act was to detonate melta bombs inside the tomb, overloading its already strained control nodes, disabling the World Engine's shields and many of its weapons systems. With the monster finally vulnerable, the remaining Imperial ships let fly with everything they had, tearing the enemy apart with multiple volleys of Cyclonic torpedoes

Reminder that the Eldar are the race for true patricians.

How well does Battlefleet Gothic run? Is it optimised well? I've had my interest in the game since announcement but I have a bit of a toaster and worried I won't be able to run it.
