no it didn't. It was the exact same scenarios like the last 3 games. Luigi doing the typical notice me sempai shit and Starlow being the usual douchebag. 50% of the time it was the same typical chasing the same fucking toads.
I had to hold the R button the entire time and I could tell whatever boring dialogue they were saying.
As much as I love the ML series, paper jam's scenarios was too safe and had nothing unique to offer.

I dunno, it's a shame. I love Nintendo and their games but I've avoided shit like the recent Fire Emblem game.
Animal Crossing has always had very few dialogue options, which is a shame realy. It'd be tons better if they actually tried to give characters unique lines mixed in with the already set group of lines for each archetype.
Then again, the more lines they give them, the bigger the risk for cringe and bad writing I suppose. Still, it'd make the games a lot more interesting and last longer.

If Nintendo kept expanding the dialogue of their games we'd be getting them literal years after they release in Japan. The smaller selling series they'd probably simply decide aren't worth translating.
Animal Crossing New Leaf alone was estimated by treehouse to be 2.4 million Japanese characters,or over 1 million English words which would be 20 Novels long.
